Therefore the Durable Water Repellency DWR on the outer fabric of your jacket must be maintained to ensure comfort. It will eventually wear off and need to be renewed.
Nikwax treatments contain elastic water-repellent polymers that bond to fabric fibers leaving the spaces between open and breathable. They stretch and move the fabric so they work better and last longer.
