Vintage Map Measurer Inches to Miles and Centimeters to Kilometers Computer on One Side and a Compass on the Other Side
We found a small number of these vintage well made map measurers with built in compass. Precise measurer converts inches to miles and centimeters to kilometers also has a precise compass built in on the other side. These are great for hikers, motorists surveyors and pilots. These were originally used by pilots, mariners,engineers and soldiers before the use of GPS and other modern navigational equipment. Originally called a Curvimeter. A similar version of these called the Fowlers Calculator were used by the British Royal Engineers during the Normandy landings.
This version is a copy of the Curvimeter used by soldiers, engineers and pilots during WW2.
Made In Germany Great for Hikers, Airman, Surveyors and collectors.
