Citadel Honey Bunny trailer: Varun-Samantha’s actioner looks funny and explosive

The makers of Citadel: Honey Bunny released the trailer of the show on Tuesday, October 15. Starring Varun Dhawan and Samantha in action-packed roles, the show is directed by Raj & DK of The Family Man fame. The trailer doesn’t take time to establish what you are in for as a viewer. There seems to be drama, fun, entertainment and a lot of action from the word go.
Samantha, as Honey, plays the mother of a young girl, Nadia, and knows how to be both a protector and a destroyer, while Varun plays an orphan, Bunny, a no-nonsense spy. There’s no limit to their courage and what they can do as a team, employed by a spy agency which “fights, so there is peace”. Kay Kay Menon, Simran, Saqib Saleem, Sikander Kher, Soham Majumdar, Shivankit Parishar and Kashvi Majmundar, appear in other important roles.

This spy world, created by the Russo Brothers, is connected. During the trailer launch of the series at a grand event, it was revealed that Nadia, Samantha’s daughter in the latest series, is the same Nadia (Priyanka Chopra) we met in the first part of the Citadel series, which is already streaming on Prime Video. The background music, the banter between the characters and the chase scenes further set the tone for the show, adding more edge to the Citadel world.
The series is written by Sita R Menon, along with Raj & DK. It is produced by D2R Films, Amazon MGM Studios, and executive produced by the Russo Brothers’ AGBO. Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, Angela Russo-Otstot, and Scott Nemes from AGBO, alongside David Weil (Hunters), executive produce Citadel: Honey Bunny and all series within the world of Citadel. Midnight Radio is also an executive producer.
The show is set to premiere on Prime Video in India and across more than 240 countries and territories worldwide on November 7.
